Wrap Selection with SNIPPETS
I need to have back the CC2015 Snippet box style, where you could "Wrap Selection" and was able to put code before and after the selection with "insert before" and "insert after"
There is no information how this works even in the last online documentation - nothing.
and the release notes end with 20.2 currently I have release 21 :-(
we are happy to inform you that we are back with the older functionality of Snippet Type radio options for wrap and Insert block options in Snippet dialog, in our latest Prerelease drop 15081.
Please join the prerelease program and try out the build and let us know your feedback.

Bring back the Wrap...Why remove an awesome feature. importing previous snippets is nice, but can't create new ones. !!!!!!

Bring the wrap back!

Nice to have Sync to help, but it doesn't solve migrating snippets from CS6 to CC. And the ability of wrapping snippets around code.
For backing up your snippets along-with keyboard shortcuts of the snippets created, you can use sync settings feature to backup your snippets on cloud and import those snippets in the latest version of Dw.
Sync settings of Snippets was introduced in Dw CC 2015.
Ugh. Add me to the list of people requesting this be fixed back to what was great. I used wrapping snippets ALL the time via keyboard shortcuts. Luckily, I was able to import my snippets when I upgraded from DW 2014 to DW 2018 - so I still have wrapping snippets that work. But this Trigger Key stupidity is useless when I have a page of code that I'm going back through to add wrapping tags! I need to be able to select the word/phrase/whatever and then apply the wrapping snippet. There's now no way to do this. This will add hours to my work to not have a shortcut functionality.

Why can't we just export and import snippets between versions? I have over 50 snippets in CS6, in my home and work computers, how can I migrate them to CC? Why would someone remove the ability of snippets to wrap code? What's the point of doing that? How can coders have done that? I suppose a coder that uses snippets wouldn't have done that, right? What kind of innovation is it, to make new releases drop what worked on old ones? Is that also considered "legacy" now? Please, don't change things just for the sake of making them different, and don't adopt new ways of doing things before real users who depend on your software to live tell you it's a step ahead. I've been trying to migrate from DW CS6 to CC for a while, every time I try there's something broken that makes me go back.
Please, PLEASE! restore the feature of wrapping code snippets. I see that many here agree with me. It was a very useful, time-saving feature.
Wrapping snippets, another great feature of the old version.
Select a peice of text - click snippet which wraps before and after the text.
Please add this back.

I don't need hotkeys, I need wapping snippets back! I'm already deleting this version and going back to the old version of Dreamweaver. *So annoyed*

Maybe we should ask Adobe to go back to 2015 CC release, finish it, and then call it the 2017 release? for example:

DreamWeaver CC 2017 has completely broken snippets for me.
1. You can't create "Wrapping" snippets!
2. The Trigger Key function just beeps when trying to assign a key combination.

Fix this immediately - It's a backwards step!!!! My old snippets which had wrap still work when I double click them so the only problem is with the screen to edit them - Add the wrap functionality back.
But more importantly - Shortcut keys - You can no longer shortcut keys and have to type cfd and hit tab which then overwrites the variable and is utterly useless - Previously I'd hit SHIFT-CTRL-D - So easy but now not even possible

Please restore wrapping snippets option - I see in the Beta its not completely removed (just from the ui). But it makes no sense to remove wrapping option which is a must have feature.
New approach to snippets is awesome but I miss wraping code wit a snippet.
Can't create Snippet with quotes in the name. Just get an error about it already existing.
snippets are no longer able to wrap code around content??? I can only paste code in a block when using snippets???
Can you suggest which Hotkey would you really like to have for adding snippets?
Do you think other hotkey, than using Tab would be more intuitive?
