cmd z crashes dreamweaver

I use Dreamweaver CC 2018 with a mac (10.11.16) daily.

Intermittently, when I use cmd z it force quits the programme. Usually when I restart cmd z force quits it again. But if I wait a while it's ok. It has been a week since this last happened to me, but sometimes it is daily.

I can't seem to replicate the problem - there doesn't seem to be a pattern.

Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

Thanks for the all the co-operation.

I was able to reproduce this issue consistently on Windows 10- 64 bit but I am still not getting it on MAC. I followed the steps as below-

    1. create a multicolumntemplate file in full code view and save it in a site
    2. open multiColumnTemplate.css as a separate file and undock it
    3. Do some changes like set padding-bottom:1px;
    4. dont save the file
    5. Move the focus to main Dw window and click on Device Preview to preview it in firefox
    6. It will ask to save the files- click on save
    7. Go back to undocked css window and do Ctrl+Z
    8. Don’t save the file
    9. Move the focus to main Dw window
    10. Click on View→Split→Code-Design→>>>Dw crashes

See if you can come up with a related workflow on MAC as well, although we will get this investigated.

        Hi,

Thanks for sharing the file, but I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Can you share the html file as well where in you are applying the css file?

Also, requesting you to try to record some kind of video clip which can capture the workflows which lead to the crash.

        Hi Niharika,

Thank you for getting back to me

There is no rhyme or reason to when it crashes nor no specific file. Because it has been happening for a number of months, and I have been using many different files in this period. But it is usually with a css file and I am unable to replicate the problem myself. What usually happens is I make a change to my css file, view it in my browser (this is already open before I make my changes), and then undo my change. And then it crashes.

You are welcome to the css file I have been working on this morning where dreamweaver crashed on me at 08:52, 09:08 and 09:42 but I can't see how I upload it... Do I need to report a new bug again? Or send it via contact support?

        Thanks
        Claire
