Code view rewriting in DwCC - pure evil or sheer madness?
Add (as default) option to turn off all auto completion, all auto rewriting, because DwCC is the most annoying an frustrating I've ever been into.
I do not want Dw to "help" me coding. I do not want Word (or GDocs) to help me finishing my sentences.
I've coded for 20 years on my own, using Dw - but no, I WILL NOT PAY ANY LICENCE for this crap. I've managed to turn of brackets, manually editing brackets.json, but there are still too many bumps - this product is not helping me at all.
Shame on whoever decided to launch DwCC in thios state. You've just lost one loyal user, and probably not the first, definetly not the last. Drop me an e-mail when things are sorted out, until then...

Agree. Code rewriting in DW 2018 is buggy and introduces bugs in my HTML docs.

yea, they did ruin 2018, its pretty bad. but... this comment might be better for the forums. I would like to ask you to consider using this bug reporting system to help Adobe fix Dreamweaver in an effective way. When I submit bug reports I try to think of how I would want my clients to handle responsive design reports. Sometimes they just yell "its broken on my phone, fix it or your fired!" those people dont get any help because I need to know the OS, Browser and device type to debug for mobile... but the other problem they cause is they gum up my workflow and prevent me from getting to the folks who are submitting bug reports that show problems I can fix. Please consider doing that with DWR.
for example, here is a report I made with a video, its not getting the attention or votes it deserves because there are 300+ posts above it which do not document bugs, they are "complaints"
Please check out this post, up vote it, and consider helping us make Adobe look at the specific behaviors we want fixed.
I agree with your comment about "auto rewriting" and I know what you are referring to, but I suspect that the techs at Adobe do not. Would you consider doing a video?
We need people who are angry with the changes to band together here, up-vote each-others posts, and put pressure on Adobe to really fix this software so it works as good at 2017 did.
thank you for your consideration.
