Sync broken in 21.0
Switched to a new PC. Old PC had dreamweaver version 21.0 (Dreamweaver kept upgraded over ~4 years), New PC has a fresh install of windows 10 & Dreamweaver version 21.0.
I cant sync my settings into the new PC.
The 2 screenshots are from the new PC:
- Shows I have selected 'Import Sync Settings', which should get cloud settings on restart. This does not happen. Have tried several restarts and nothing happens.
- The top right does not have the option to download sync settings from the cloud, or even upload. This is weird because on my home PC, I have used this before to download sync settings.
So all the settings on my new PC are incorrect. Code formatting, hints etc.. It just plain sucks.
Great to hear the issue is resolved now. Thanks for providing the confirmation.
Have a pleasant day!
Opening Creative cloud, then opening dreamweaver seems to have fixed the issue.
>Also, can you please confirm if you have clicked on Apply button in the sync pop-up to apply the settings to Dw on new PC. We see that Apply button is disabled in the screenshots, is the button in disabled state always.
The sync popup was always disabled / i was unable to click it.
Unsure why opening creative cloud fixed the issue. Dreamweaver and creative cloud were both installed yesterday from the Adobe site, so they are both the newest versions.
Thanks for writing to us and providing screenshots illustrating the issue. Can you please confirm if Creative Cloud Desktop App is updated to the latest version, you can perform Help --> Check for updates in CCD app.
Also, can you please confirm if you have clicked on Apply button in the sync pop-up to apply the settings to Dw on new PC. We see that Apply button is disabled in the screenshots, is the button in disabled state always.
Can you please resetting Dw app preferences by following the steps in below KB article and see if the issue gets resolved.
It would be great if we can have a remote connect session(details sent via private message) for further debugging the issue and try resolving the same.
