I just recreated the problem again -- currently using macOS Version 10.12.5):
The linked image shows where to right-click > choose New > select HTML ... the Create button does not work.
I would do that, but I had already rebooted the Mac -- this solved the problem. If the problem happens again, I will use Apple's Feedback Assistant to send the information (and the logs Feedback Assistant creates) to Apple. I'm guessing those logs would help identify what caused the issue in Dw.
There was no error message. Nothing happened when I clicked the Create button. :)
Sorry, I wasn't getting email announcements about responses.
Yes, fn+Option+F12 does open the default browser preview using a wireless Apple keyboard. Thank you for that input about the fn key.
Why doesn't Adobe update the GUI in Dw so that users know this?
(Running macOS version 10.12.4 stable)
Look at this in Dw: View > Split > Code-Code
Sad to see that Adobe is ignoring this request.
I second this request enthusiastically -- tired of Dw opening in such a huge window. It forces to me to find my preferred window size over and over again.
No response MOST OF THE TIME after clicking List Item in the Insert panel. I often have to click repeatedly in order to get a response from Dw -- sometimes resulting in multiple <li></li> tags. Sigh.
